A Visit to Badgers Brewery

Last evening on Friday 7th March I had the pleasure to be invited with other guests to be shown around Hall & Woodhouse Brewery at Blandford St Mary who brew Badger Beer. All the guests were made extremely welcome and given a guided tour of the brewery by two of the most experience and oldest serving members of staff. The evening ended with an excellent buffet and drink of your choice and a farewell and thank you from David Woodhouse to set us on our way.
The steam engine you see in the picture was the sole power unit until modernisation some 100 years ago
Founded 1777 by a Dorset farmer and still a family business is renowned for its Badger cask and bottled ales.
